Another successful SF Green Festival!

I took my family to the Green Festival last weekend and was energized by the size and passion of the crowd.  Thinking they were in for a snoozefest, my three kids (4th grade, 7th grade and 9th grade) were ecstatic that they didn’t have to watch me give a presentation on “Financing Green Business,” but could wander the aisles collecting free samples.

Although I was a little apprehensive when my oldest daughter came back with a T-shirt from the Green Cross advocating medical marijuana (emphasis on medical, dear!), I was glad to see each of my kids get caught up in the spirit of health, environmental stewardship, and social justice that was palpable throughout the venue.

I was also gratified by the number of people who approached me after my presentation letting me know that they were New Resource Bank customers. It is a testament to our wonderful staff how effusive these people were in complimenting New Resource bankers like Gary Groff, Tracy Tiernan, and Christie Scourtes.

I look forward to visiting the festival again next year and hope our bank can participate again as well. I’m just crossing my fingers that I can avoid explaining to my youngest daughter what a “Dube Tube” is for another year!
