New Resource Bank is proud to announce that we have become a signatory of the CDP. Formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, this international nonprofit provides the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information. The CDP works with market forces to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment and natural resources and take action to reduce them.

The California Fisheries Fund, which helps West Coast fisheries become more sustainable, is the most recent recipient of the Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award, California’s top environmental award. New Resource has partnered with the CFF on loans to Wild Planet Foods, a provider of sustainably caught wild seafood.

When I received my invitation to join our nonprofit client, Amazon Watch, in its delegation to Ecuador to learn about the reality of our dependence on oil, I knew it was a life-changing opportunity. Here was my chance to meet the locals, see the rainforest, and experience the environmental devastation I had read about in many articles and books.

The bank joins a growing roster of more than 300 B Corporations that includes such companies as Method, New Leaf Paper, Numi Organic Tea, RSF Capital Management, Seventh Generation, Sungevity and Sustainable Industries.
