New Resource Bank Construction Lender Takes Client to the "Green"

On September 22nd New Resource Bank Senior Vice President of Construction and Real Estate Ron Steager took the initiative to bring green building information and know-how to his clients. Ron and the Bank hosted Bay Area developers for the September 20-22 West Coast Green Residential Building Conference and Expo at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium. West Coast Green featured speakers who discussed many aspects of building green along with exhibitors who presented green building materials and technologies.

New Resource Bank Supports San Francisco Department of the Environment's "Building Green in San Francisco" supplement in the San Francisco Business Times:

Building Green in San Francisco, which appeared in the September 18th issue of the San Francisco Business Times provided green building information and resources to readers in a convenient format. An article on "Financiers of Green Buildings" includes comments from New Resource Bank and other financial institutions.

New Resource Bank staff receives organic industry training from former President of the Organic Trade Association:

On September 12, Bill Wolf, former President of the Organic Trade Association conducted a seminar for bank employees on the overview and future of the organic industry. This is a part of the ongoing training program at New Resource Bank. Training seminars have been designed to enhance staff's understanding of client industries and to provide continuing education on customer service and banking technology. Other trainings conducted recently have included seminars on serving private banking clients and on various banking technology.

New Resource Bank joins Sustainable Business Panel at the USF Graduate School of Business:

New Resource Bank was invited to participate in a September 14 panel for the University of San Francisco's MBA for Executives Enrichment Series, which provides educational opportunities for USF business school alumni and students. The panel was moderated by Professor Stephen Fowler and also included representatives from Hewlett Packard and Wells Fargo.

New Resource Bank Co-founder Tim Newell Helps Launch New Clean Technology Venture Capital Fund

DFJ Element, L.P., a venture capital fund formed to invest in clean technology companies, launched in June 2006 with a total of $284 million in capital commitments. Timothy Newell, a Managing Director at DFJ Element, L.P. is also an organizer and co-founder of New Resource Bank. Tim’s areas of investment focus will include renewable energy, biofuels, energy efficiency, and market infrastructure. The clean technology sector has emerged one of the most attractive sectors for new venture capital investment. The sector now attracts more than $1 billion of venture capital funding annually.
